Your New Website is Ready! Here’s How to Point Your Domain to TDR Servers:

To complete the setup for your new website, you need to point your domain name to TDR servers by updating the A record in your domain’s DNS settings. Follow these steps:

How to Set an A Record in DNS Settings

Note: The process may vary slightly depending on your domain registrar (GoDaddy, BlueHost, HostGator, etc.), but here are the general steps:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar account.
  2. Click on the domain name you want to update.
  3. Go to Manage DNS Records.
  4. Select Add Record in the DNS Zone.
  5. Choose A (Host) as the Record Type.
  6. Enter @ in the Host field.
  7. In the Points To field, enter 64.91.245.202.
  8. Set the TTL (Time to Live) to 1/2 Hour from the dropdown.
  9. Click Finish and Save Changes.

Important Note:

  • If your domain already has an A record, do not create a new one. Instead, edit the existing A record.
  • If multiple A records point to different servers, this could cause issues. Make sure only one A record is pointing to the correct server.
  • If you’re unsure, contact your domain registrar's support team for assistance.

DNS Propagation

After updating your DNS, it can take up to 24-48 hours for the changes to propagate worldwide. This process, called DNS propagation, is the time it takes for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the world to update their caches with your new DNS information.

During this period:

  • Some visitors may still be directed to the old server, while others will see the new site almost immediately.
