Before providing access, ensure the below steps:
- Facebook page linked to Instagram business account.
- The Instagram account is set as a business profile.
- Access to Meta Business Manager.
Steps to Provide Access:
1. Grant Access via Meta Business Manager:
If your client or team member uses their own Business Manager, follow these steps:
- Log into Facebook: Go to business.facebook.com and log in.
- Navigate to Business Settings: Click on the gear icon (⚙️) in the lower left corner.
- Add Partner: Under "Users," select "Partners" and click "Add."
- Enter the business ID of the person or agency you want to add.
- Click "Next."
- Select Assets: Choose the Facebook Page and Instagram account you wish to share access to.
- Ensure you check all permissions for both accounts, which is crucial for full functionality.
2. Request Access if Your Client Manages Directly
- Open Your Business Manager: Log into your own Business Manager.
- Request Access: Go to "Accounts" > "Pages" and click "Add."
- Select "Request access to a page."
- Enter the link or name of their page and submit the request.
- Client Approval: Inform your client that they need to approve your request from their page's settings.
3. Assign Roles and Permissions
- In the Business Settings, navigate to "People."
- Click on "Add" and search for the person you want to grant access to.
- Assign them a role (Admin, Editor, etc.) based on what tasks they need to perform. For full control, select Admin
4. Linking Instagram Accounts
- If not already linked, ensure that the Instagram account is connected:
- In the Business Settings, select "Instagram Accounts."
- Click "Add" and log in with the Instagram credentials if necessary.
